The Jewish Art Collaborative of Brooklyn is an artist forum sponsored by the Rohr Jewish Center. JACOB serves as a discussion round-table between artists to focus on issues in the fine arts, recent/upcoming local exhibitions, and as a venue for artists to present on their artwork. This monthly symposium provides opportunities for artists, of all backgrounds and mediums, the ability to network and build valuable relationships.
JACOB meets the Third Wednesday of the month at 8pm in the Rohr Jewish Center, 541 Myrtle Ave.
JACOB meeting June 15, 2011
Our first meeting of JACOB was a great success. Over 30 local artists and art lovers came out. Ali Spechler was the featured artist who presented on her series “Brooklyn Shtetl.” The artist fielded questions and comments from the audience and talked about her Jewish experiences that lead to her painting series.
